Some by land and some by air, the Below The Surface team and new
friends are meandering their way across the open roads and vast skies
of America to unite in Clarksburg today. Bummed for missing an 1800
mile vegetable oil powered excursion across the desert and sometimes
suburban stretches of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and into
the forests of Arkansas and Mississippi, I am retracing Kristian and
Guy's recent highway ramble from the eagles view. Rested on my perch
(or soft faux leather chair in the Phoenix airport), I gaze out across
desert just heating up for the day and my thoughts drift to a wet rain
soaked part of the country I have yet to see, and my mind wonders at
the beauty and dangers we'll encounter while we re-explore the modern
Atchafalaya.
See y'all in Clarksburg.
