It is time to UNPLUG anything that is not in use. Over 75% of US
energy production comes from burning fossil fuels. Phantom Loads and
Standby Units can account for 10-20% of a household's energy use.
This is energy your are not using but it is electricity you are paying
for. Save energy and money by unplugging chargers, appliances, and
other electrical devices when they are not in use. Also try using a
power strip and switching it off is a convenient way to save too!
Also, for good measure, turn off lights when you leave the room.
